Elevating your Summer Salads, 1 week at a time. The 5 week Salad Saturday Series will take place from May 21st to June 18th 2022 ! Together, we will learn one French Salad recipe per week with a live cooking demonstration taking place every Saturday at 11am EST on Instagram Live.
A New Salad Recipe Every Week
For those who are familiar with the Soup Sunday Challenge I hosted this winter, this will be a similar experience.
Once a week I will publish a new Salad Recipe that I will also prepare live on Instagram every Saturday. I hope you can join me for the live presentations as it is always a fun, interactive cooking lesson where you can ask questions in real time.
The theme of the #saladsaturdayseries will be French Salads, however I absolutely LOVE when I learn new recipes from you, dear reader. So please share your own favorite salad recipes using the hashtag so I can share them as well!
French Salads
Did you know that many of the famous French Salads are named after cities in France?
Though the series we will also be taking a culinary tour of France. La Salade Niçoise, La Salade Parisienne, La Salade Lyonnaise, La Salade Grenobloise and, my own creative spin on one of my absolute favorite towns in France, La Salade Tropezienne.
I look forward to sharing the recipes, but also my own stories of these iconic French cities and towns with you.
Le Chef's Tips for Plating
There is no denying it. We can both use the exact same ingredients , and the same dishware, but when my husband, Le Chef, plates a dish it always looks 100x better than when I do it. At least it used to... little by little I have been learning the professional tricks of the trade to make your salads look more appealing to the eye.
We eat with our eyes first, and a well presented salad, with the ingredients beautifully laid out, is infinitely more appetizing and impressive than a jumble of ingredients.
As we start BBQ season and summer dining, I will be teaching you Le Chef's secrets for making your salads the showstopper of any table.
Whether you are looking to eat more vegetables (like I am!) or whether you would like to prepare for a potluck or just bring more joy to your Tuesday work-from-home lunch, the #saladsaturdayseries is here for you.
