The food of Emily in Paris is as much of a main character in the hit Netflix series as the fashion! Do you agree? When Emily bites into a croissant in ecstasy or enjoys a long, wine soaked lunch with her colleagues or, my favorite, is seduced by the handsome Chef Gabriel as he feeds her exquisite bites of his cooking...There is something incredibly romantic and enjoyable about the food featured in Emily in Paris.
This is a storyline I can relate to. I, too, was a young and optimistic visitor in France, on a study exchange for my marketing degree. I met Le Chef at his restaurant while working on a term project and we were engaged 1.5 months later! He didn't want me to go home at the end of the school term. Now, here we are, a beautiful wedding in Nice and two incredible kids later with a life full of love & food in Washington, DC. If you are interested in hear more about our story you can read it in these blog posts: How me met and Our engagement party. I started this blog as a way to hold on to the food memories that we enjoyed while living in France together.
Emily in Paris Watch Party
Hosting a watch party for Emily in Paris? What better way than to put together a cocktail dinatoire? A variety of small bites that you can lay out on the coffee table to be enjoyed with a glass of Kir Royale (Champère!) or St-Germain Spritz.
The beauty of a cocktail dînatoire is that it can be put together so simply and quickly. Assemble a French Cheese Board and a Charcuterie Board. Whip up some olive tapenade and make skewers of Peach Caprese Salad. If you are in the mood, try making your own crusty French baguettes too! I love to make mini mousse au chocolat and crême brulée.
